It places a small normally hidden file in each of your drop box directories 
with the information it needs if you're sharing the folder. Other than that 
I'm sure I understand your question.

Hi all:
I have a dropbox account set up on my Toshiba laptop with the Dropbox app 
and just created a shared folder.
After getting the confirmation that the other person had accepted,
I checked but it doesn't show up in my app.

What's wrong?

And yes, it shows up on the site.
