Thanks for the information. I know some folks who use the Mac but haven't
tried it.
I am visiting the USA (tampa) for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays
and hope to at least have a go at using it. Started with JAWS in 2000 and
it has worked for me since then.

No. The bad news is that there is no jaws for mac. The good news is that
any recent version of the mac operating system already comes with the
screenreader for mac tied into the operating system. This native Mac
Screenreader is Called Voiceover and has becomeq quite good. Google for
"Voiceover" and you should find plenty of information for you and your
colleague. Also, I am sure that there is a voiceover email support group
out there but I do not know subscriptioninformation. Again I refer you to
our friend Google.
