In The JAWS Settings Center, Excel, look for "Customize Punctuation" and
then look in the list of signs for the = [equals] sign. Here, set the
value to NONE so that NO equals sign shall be silenced. OK your change.

Jaws refuses to announce the "=" sing within a cell formula no matter
where I set the punctuation setting including "all"
