The one thing you have to remember is when you do that tandem. On your side will show the op your working with. So if you run xp and you tandem a win7 that is what you will be looking at is win7.

  Yes, this will work fine. Tandem does require that the person who is
accessing the others person computer have the same version or higher than
the other computer but OS and 32 bit or 64 bit does not matter.
