you could have alt control j for one version, alt shift j for another,
controlk shift j for another, and alt control shift j for another, and
there's no law which says you must use the letter j in any shortcut key
combo for JAWS.

I just had to do that too. Removed v/10, kept v/11, installed v/12 gave
v/12 v/10's hotkey..

What I would suggest if you want to use the same hotkey, is to take
the
hotkey out from the old version first, then put the new hotkey in.

It has been my experience that you need to assign a separate hot key
for
each version of any given program, results may vary, details inside
no
purchase necessary.

I call them as I see them, and if I don't see them I make them up.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Control+Alt+J
Hello;
I have Jaws 10, Jaws 12, and now Jaws 13 on my XP computer. Jaws 12
is set
as the default.
I had Control+Alt+J set to launch Jaws 10. I went to the properties
of the
Jaws 13 desk top icon and assigned Control+Alt+ J as the launch hot
key.
I unloaded Jaws 12 and pressed Control+Alt+ J. Jaws 10 came up. The
properties of the Jaws 13 icon still shows Control+Alt+J as the hot
key
In the past assigning a key stroke to a newer version would override
the old
setting. This is not a big deal but I am wondering if this new
scenario is
what FS expected. t
