Its a virtual private network. Used by most that want a secure direct line from computer to work. A tip on using VPN's is if any problems with not connecting. You will have to go to what ever tech that setup the VPN, because no provider will support the use of a VPN.

It should work just fine, I connect  to the VPN when ever I am working from
home and have no problems.
