It's been a while since I tried adding a file to my public folder, and this
computer doesn't have Dropbox on it, but, when I hit the applications key and
enter on the "link to" pick no link gets generated. I've tried this with
.txt and .rtf files of different sizes, and nothing works.
Any suggestions?

Hi Trish,
You do not have to zip a single file in the public folder, however, if you
want to send a single link for multiple files then you will need to zip them
up before hand.
HTH,
Rick Justice
