If I understand the question correctly,, wouldn't viewing the contents of 
the cd in Windows Explorer be the same?
When the cd is inserted, a dialogue should pop-up asking what to do with the 
disk,
select, explorer disk, or view files, and the contents of the disk should be 
in a list view,
if that is the view you have selected on the computer.

Maybe creating simplel html file with links to the executables and pointing
autorun to it will do the job?
