Shouldn't take in all much more than three minutes, also depending of course on your ISP's upload speed and whether the ISP's server is maintaining contact with you during the sending.

Once your message has gone from your outbox, it has, in effect, gone
from your system. it will be in your Sent Items folder. thereafter, the
time it takes to get to your recipient depends on the speed of your
ISP's server and their ability to process and receive the message. Some
ISP's do put restrictions on the size of allowable attachments.

That does not let me know how much of the message was sent. I was sending an 8 meg attachment and wanted to know how far along it was

using win 7 home premium, jaws 13 and windows live mail.
Is there anyway that you can follow the progress of sending a message with a large file attachment? I do not have the fastest internet and would like to know when a message is sent. I know that I can go to the sent box to see if it is completed but really would like to know how much longer it will take?
