I've made a little progress with using the new set-up; but in order to activate buttons (of which there are many) one may either need to turn off the virtual cursor with insert+z and then press enter or spacebar, or use a version of JAWS earlier than the latest JAWS13. The older Google interface is 'going away soon'. This also has implications for blind ordinary gmail users.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] virtual cursor is completely disabled in Googlegroupsnew interface

Hi,

Any googlegroup owners here? How do you like the new or incoming interface? have you been able to navigate it using JAWS and Internet Explorer, and if so, how? For now, I can't even contact googlegroups to say what's wrong with their new interface, because, as i indicated, the virtual cursor is truly broken and no edits (apart from search edit) show up. there's a menu structure on the page that's not JAWS accessible. Do we have to go to Chrome to read this set-up?
