I got 40 minute mode after installing some hardware but I cannot remember how I solved it. Maybe just JawsKey+F4. Then launch Jaws again.

I have also occasionally seen the message about JAWS in 40-minute mode. for me, it's usually after a bad shutdown or crash. As long as JAWS when shut down then restarts right again, that is the main thing.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws error start up message

This is regarding an error message I receive when I reboot Jaws. I am using Jaws v13 but I have seen this issue with prior versions. Occasionally, I get the following error messages. when I reboot the PC they will either say:

1. Jaws is running in 40 demo mode.

2. Jaws is running in 10 day mode.

3. Your 40 demo mode of Jaws has expired.

When I turn off the computer again and reboot the error messages issues goes away. Why does this occur?
