Checklist: Each of the following might be tried exclusive of the others,
first. Did you connect the Focus40 to a different USB port than the one
it's been connected to? Did you try some other USB device instead in
that port? have you checked the battery percentage charge on the Focus?
A different USB lead between the Focus and PC?

Subject: [JAWS-Users] focus 40 not recognized
I suddenly am getting a message that one of the USB devices has
malfunctioned and is not recognized on this computer. I unattached all
USB devices and connected the focus 40 again and I still get this
message. Prior to this issue I never encountered this problem. I can
not click on the message to find a solution. I am using windows 7 and
Jaws 13.
