Hi Rick & David, I was reading a tutorial by David Bales at; http://goo.gl/uu3XW In this tutorial he talks about using the, Windows Key + Up Arrow keystroke for maximizing windows. Apparently in Windows7 you can invoke this keystroke on any window you want to maximize & Windows7 will maximize the window & remember the setting so you don't have to maximize it again. This maximize keystroke only maximizes the window during the current session of the computer use. You can also use the keystroke, Windows Key + down arrow, to restore the window. It won't remember the maximized window after a reboot or restart. Take care. Another way to open the Action Center to solve PC issues is: >From the search box in the Start Menu, start typing: Action Center when it pops up in the list, press enter. In the Action Center, you can tab thru the options using the spacebar to activate any of the buttons. As in any situation on the computer make sure to maximize the window by pressing Alt + spacebar, then the letter X this will help in navigation, especially when using the Jaws cursor. You may need to route Jaws to Pc , then page up, to start reading down one line at a time thru the entire window for the necessary information. In the Action Center, you can change the settings for when and what you want to be notified about, such as: User Account Control settings Windows Updates Backup and System Restore and other security features. Additionally, Action Center notifications can be set not to show in the system tray, but I would not recommend this.
