Go into JAWS Options, Braillle, tab to Advanced... and enter, and open
General. One of the items in that submenu is Panning, which you open.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 14 with PowerBraille 40

Hello, List,

The subject line tells you what braille display and version of JAWS I'm
running. Additionally I'm running a 64-bit version of Windows 7.

In older versions of JAWS, I had some ability to control the point at which
characters on the display began to slide leftward out of view as new
characters were added to the end of a line, and this also had an effect on
where words broke before the 40th cell on the display. I believe this was
accomplish through an advanced setting called something like "Panning Mode."

I found this feature valuable as I do a lot of editing in Notepad and
wouldn't care if words didn't break at all as I move the display window to
the right. But so far I've not been able to locate an equivalent feature In
JAWS 14 menus.

Can someone tell me where to locate the "Panning Mode" or an equivalent, or
if there's another way to accomplish what I want. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks in advance! JH

P.S., Getting a newer braille display isn't currently an option, especially
since I have the old PB40 running tickity boo after a tune-up from the folks
at FS.
