Not terribly hard, but you may need assistance. It isn't as easy as
upgrading from XP to Vista, because you need to run a custom install in
Windows 7. You'll need to back up all your programs and data to a separate
drive, as you'll lose them on your computer's drive. Microsoft says you'll
need to re-install all your programs, although Windows Easy Transfer will
restore your files and settings. There are other utilities that might allow
you to transfer your programs, PcMigrate comes to mind.
Don't know your system specs. You probably should run the Windows 7 upgrade
advisor to see for sure. YOu'll need to know whether you can support 32-bit
or 64-bit versions of Windows; in most Xp machines, they were 32-bit.
You may need to find updated drivers for some of your peripherals
particularly if you have older scanners or printers.
You'll need a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium. You can also use Win 7 Pro or
Ultimate, but if you do, you'll need Jaws Pro instead of basic Jaws.
A pretty comprehensive tutorial is at

Then press the PC cursor to get out of forms Mode, and you may be able
to read over what you've typed. Now Press JAWSKey+s to get Highlighted.
(this is in any or all JAWS
versions.)

, it works, but it didn't do this, and still can't repeat, when in forms
mode, and highlighted is highlighted. is there a way to be able to put
it
back to reread what i've written in forms mode,?, isn't there a way to
get
it back, without changing settings
it only happens when in the forms mode. i must not have jaws 12 on
this pc, qand none was selected after jaws key + s

Do you know about the JAWSKey+s command, which when pressed
consecutively switches the Screen Echo between Highlighted text, All,
and None. (The default is, Highlighted.) Try those if you haven't
already.
