Hi Jorge,

Well, AVG must have changed their interface back to being accessible with
Jaws because I stopped, along with many others, to MSSE after AVG became
inaccessible. I also run Malware Bytes & Super Antispyware as secondary
scanning programs & I'm very happy with our results. When I turn 100 years
old I'll let you know if AVG can be used! LOL LOL
Take care.
Mike

Hi Mike,
MSE is alright and there is nothing great about it, that's why it's free.
When Bill Gate makes you buy it it will work much better..

I run Mywarebytes Pro and that seems to always pick up something.

And AVG is so simple to use that a 100 year old guy can run it, LOL!!!

Later Bro.
Jorge

Hi Cher,

I have MSSE installed on all of our computers & we are very happy with the
job it does. For example, if we attempt to download & MSSE notices
something peculiar about it ,it stops the download & scans it before
downloading it. Depending on which computer we have we also run
SuperAntiSpyware or Malware Bytes but, not at the same time but, we'll run a

full scan with 1 of these independently to catch something that either MSSE
is not made to catch or something that MSSE might have missed. We run SAS
or Malware Bytes on a schedule scan just like we run MSSE on a scheduled
scan but, they don't run at the same time. They run independently of each
other so there is no conflict. We have tried AVG & Avast in the past but,
they became too much of a hassle to navigate with Jaws, where MSSE can be
navigated quite easily with Jaws. Well, this is my 1 and a half cents worth

& I'm sticking to it! LOL LOL

Take care.
Mike

MSE works just fine for me and has for years. I hated Norton and AVG plus a
couple of others I tried over the past 15 years. Norton is a gift horse
that has to be bundled with new computers to get any business. Avoid!

: To those list members who are using Microsoft's Security Essentials, is it
: doing the job for you? I'm getting tired of the accessibility problems
with
: BitDefender that I'm wondering whether I just need to bail. BD works
nicely
: in the background, but I find that disabling it or starting a specific
scan
: are both inaccessible. Please tell me whether you can use MSE without
: getting mal-ware on your computer. Thanks much.
