I guess so. I need an accessable Blu-ray player. I mostly use Blu-Ray now.

It looks as we are trapped. I haven't found any other accessible DVD player.
I have nero, but I haven't been able to understand it. It hasn't a play menu or
something like it.

Ah okay then. Just wanted to clarify. It's a good thing I didn't use VLC in the
end then as it seems it doesn't work well. Perhaps I should either get rid of
it or keep it for what ever other formats it may come in handy for.

Ah, let me explain what I meant. As you may know even with out realizing.
When you hit the skyp button on a dvd player and quickly let go it goes to
another part as you said. This is a chaptor. You can also fast forward or
rewind like on a tape if you want to slowly go back a bit threw or forward
threw a single chapter, or to something at the end of the last chapter. So
that's what I meant. Sorry if that wasn't so clear. That's why I asked what you
were doing.

I should think that I am trying to skim through, going through different parts
of the same philm.

Ah yes. That's right WMP in Win 8 doesn't play DVDs any more. It's a shame
because it was so easy and accessible. Sure wish PowerDVD were so easy.
You're trying to go from 1 chapter to the next one right? Or are you trying to
just skim threw something like I do sometimes with Star wars and the light
saber duels?

Hello all,
First of all, happy new year to all.
Using Windows 8 and Jaws 15.
I am using VLC player to play DVD movies. The thing is that whn I try to go to
the next position it rewinds to the beginning. I also tried the shift combined
with the right arrow, as wel as the alt, but it doesn’t work. It goes back to
the beginning. Another thing I tried was going to a specific time, but I hear
the disk go around, but then silence. If I enter play again, it returns to the
beginning.
Anny sugestions? With my windows XP I used Windows Media Player, but the one
with Windows 15 doesn’t play DVD.
Tank you in advance.

Kind regards,

Teresa Arroyo
