It is a nag screen. Of course, they do want to drive people toward buying their pro version. I have no issue with the way the program performs except that it has flagged legitimate programs before. Malware Bytes will identify many of those same programs as "PUP, for potentially unwanted programs", but it isn't set up by default to delete those as super antispyware did.

Hello, Steve,
This is asking me in essence to purchase the program. It is always
updated by me personally. I use the free version and it serves me well. I
need to get rid of this alert message from the company, always asking me to
purchase it, in other words. Is this possible is all I ask???
Thank you very much.

Not that I'm aware of, it obviously is important if you are going to use
that program to keep it updated.

Having said that, I dumped it a couple weeks ago and only use malware bytes.

As a matter of fact, there was an article in Windows Secrets newsletter
about computer security. The author was not happy with Super Antispyware's
performance, particularly because it did not uninstall properly or
completely using the normal Windows uninstall procedure. I experienced
similar issues when I dumped mine, I had to find a complete removal tool
from Super Antispyware because after I uninstalled using the normal program removal procedure in Windows Control Panel, my computer kept popping up with
"found new hardware" wizzard. This is one of the several symptoms of an
incomplete uninstall of Super Antispyware.

I use Win 7 and JAWS 12. I also use the free version of Super Antispyware.
The program is always asking me to upgrade now, yes or no and I think it
puts a big blurb on the screen which messes up the operation of other
programs. Of course, I always reply NO to its request. However, it wastes
a
lot of my time to even be involved with this all.

Is there any way I can eliminate this alert entirely so it never has
space in my computer?

Thanks for all help and have a pleasant week end.
