Make sure you are in the shortcut tab before tabbing to run.

desktop;

i=internet explorer;
do not enter,
bring up properties,
alt+enter,

now tab you will see, run combo box.

as for the auto sizer,
first bring up the internet page
now you can run auto sizer,
then you should see the internet page showing,
tab maximize and press enter,
now choose maximize and then go to okay.

Thank you so much for this info, but when I follow your steps, after I press
Enter to get into the properties, as I tab through, here's all I hav:
The URL,
Shortcut Key,
Change Icon button,
OK button,
Cancel button,
And Apply button.
I am not seeing the run combo box anywhere where I can select Maximize
instead of normal.
Am I doing something wrong?

that's because your shortcut, like other programs and apps, by default opens
in a 'normal' - i.e. restored - window. To change that, highlight the
shortcut on your desktop; Press alt=Enter for Properties; then tab over to
the Run combo box, and down arrow to 'maximized'. Tab over to the OK button,
and then ENTER on Ok.

Auto Sizer 7.1 seems to be working with my Windows 7 64 bit machine.
Let me
tell you what I am experiencing though. I frequently use a website
called
BibleGateway. If I go to that site by using the Windows R search,
when the
site opens it is maximized. But, I have a shortcut to it on my
desktop and
when I use the shortcut the site is not maximized. Can someone please
tell
me why the shortcut on my desktop does not maximize?

Thanks,
Donnie

Here's what to do.
1. open a program that you know is not maximized.
2. now go to autosizer in the system tray. Hit Enter.
3. Now arrow down to where you hear, autosize now and hit enter.
4. now go back into that program you opened, and see if it's
maximized, by
hit alt X,and arrowing down the choices you have. If it says maximized
unavailable, that means it is maximized, and the program is working
like it
's supposed to do. Jim

I am using Win. 7 and Jaws 12.
Thanks in advance.

1.71, interesting maybe I will revisit that little program since it is
in my
personal arsenal.

Not sure it works with 64 bit systems which Donnie is using. He could
certainly try it, kind of a no harm no fowl deal.

When I had my XP machine I used a little program called "Auto Sizer",
and it
would automatically maximize everything that I opened. Apparently,
that
program does not work with Windows 7. Can someone please tell me if
there
is anything that will do the same for Windows 7? The main thing I am
having
trouble with is when I open Internet Explorer or any websites. I
always
have to manually make them full screen.
