I have talked to Microsoft and FS about the problem of Windows Defender, and both have told me that there should be something done at some time. In defense of Windows Defender, it has saved my computer two or three times from something getting on my computer, through IE 11. At the time JAWS did tell me that WD has stopped the malicious item. JAWS also says, running security scan, right before the download is complete sounds.

Are you saying that JAWS is not as compatible or user-friendly with Windows
Defender as it is for MSE? If that is the case, this would be yet another
reason to avoid updating to Windows 8.

I was just curious as how it would work with JAWS. My wife did go to the site, and found it only works with operating systems up to Win 8, and I have Win 8.1. I am currently using Windows Defender, and JAWS 15 will only read a bunch of numbers while updating, and while doing a security scan. I am hoping that FS can get JAWS to where it will read what is happening, instead of the numbers. It just reads the numbers, with the JAWS cursor off, or on. If anyone has any suggestions on how to make JAWS read what is happening, instead of the numbers, I would appreciate it.

   Thanks,

I'm curious why this is better than MSE?

Hello,
I am wondering if one of you can tell me where I can get this
from?
Also, you did say it is free, and is compatible with JAWS?
I thank you guys for any help.

   Thanks,

Hi Gerald,

I installed Qihoo 360 Internet Security, and as much as I can tell, it
is
very compatible with JAWS.

I tried a few things, and they are all very easy to do. It is as easy
as
MSE, although I did not try the Sandbox feature.

I did not try to remove the software from my PC.

HTH.

Have you actually installed and used Qihoo 360 Internet Security? How
does
it compare with MSE in terms of JAWS accessibility? I checked some of
the
reviews of this anti-virus program, and it sounds like it may be a
good free
alternative to AVG and Avast, but how compatible is it with JAWS? And
how
easy is it to remove if it doesn't work out?

Hello,

Since I realized that Microsoft Security Essential is not good I
tried
several free and not free antivirus and security programs.

Today I found Qihoo 360 Internet Security, a free program. It has
very
good reviews, and as much as I can tell it is a JAWS accessible.

Does anybody here have any experience and knowledge concerning Qihoo
360
Internet Security?

Thank you!

P.S. I found out about the software in the following site:
