Hello Al, It really doesn't matter. Malware Bytes is a very well-respected antispyware program. It doesn't hurt to have more than one antispyware program running at the same time. There should only be one antivirus program running on a system. I don't think Windows Defender will find any spyware that Malware Bytes misses but whether or not a person uses it along with Malware Bytes is a matter of preference. However, in Windows 8 Windows Defender became an antivirus program as well as checking for spyware and should not be used when another antivirus program is running.
