Hello again Liuda, Step 11 in my previous message should just be "Start Word" and not "exit and restart Word."
Take care. If you have no macros or specially created styles then you might want to just delete the template. Otherwise you can try the first set of steps shown below to restore the defaults. Restoring default settings to the template: 1. Type or paste the following into the Windows start menu search box: %appdata%\microsoft\templates 2. Find the normal.DOTM file. 3. Ppress the application key and arrow down to the Open menu item. 4. Press enter key to open the template. 5. To delete any unwanted text use CTRL+a (the select all command) and press the delete key. 6. Press CTRL+A again and press delete key again. This deletes the ending paragraph mark that remains after deleting unwanted text. 7. Press Ctrl+Space Bar. This sets the character formatting for the paragraph back to its default based on the underlying style. 8. Press Ctrl+Q. This sets the paragraph formatting for the paragraph back to its default, again based on the underlying style. 9. Save the template. 10. Restart the computer. 11. Exit and restart Word. Deleting the Normal.DOTM file: 1. Press the Windows key and type or paste the following path into the search box: %appdata%\microsoft\templates 2. Find the normal.DOTM file and delete it. 3. Restart your computer to register the changed entries in the registry. 4. Open Word. The default should be Calibri font with a size of 11 point and the normal style being used. I hope you get it working. Take care. Can someone please give me the detailed steps in order to delete the present template and then I can begin anew to install a correct version? Thanks in advance for your help.
