If you're running Windows 8 with Internet Explorer 10, you probably have
realized by now that there are two different versions of IE: one that is a
full-screen
Metro app and one that is just a desktop version that we've always had for
years and years.

Normally, if you go to the Start screen, you'll see the Internet Explorer 10
tile, which will load the Metro full-screen version of IE:

Go to Internet Options
alt+t+o

ctrl+tab until you hear;
Programs

now use the arrow key and choose;
 Always in Internet Explorer on the desktop for How you Open Links
it's the third choice.
now tab okay press enter.

in windows 8.0
when I enter internet explorer is it suppose to come up like a search 
engine?
if so how do you get to the file menu.
I tried pressing the application key but nothing happens
could someone please explain to me how it works?
I know I am to place something in the search feeld  but I want to know 
how to get to the file menus.
