I did a search using word 2010 for vertical alignment. Hopefully this will
be the same in word 2007. 

To Center the text between the top and bottom margins
1.Select the text that you want to center between the top and bottom
margins.
2.On the Page Layout tab, click the Page Setup Dialog Box, and then click
the Layout tab. (There are three tabs, margins, paper, and then layout.)
3.In the Vertical alignment box, click Center. (In word 2010, that's tabbing
6 times to vertical alignment.)
