Secondly, may I ask what lead you to believe you were running Windows 8
since the startmenu and start screen are so different?

I was mistaken, I checked my computer with specsy and I found out I have
windows 7 pro. but I have no idea why the first time I checked there was no
accessories folder. perhaps my computer was really fratmented or something!
