No. But I found that the Norwegian character "å" is located where the left bracket is on a US layout. So, pressing caps lock+å actually route jaws to pc.
Problem solved! HTH, Rick Justice Tomorrow's another day, another way! and if tomorrow never comes, problem solved! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Øyvind Lode" <oyv...@lode.is> To: <jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com> Sent: Friday, July 25, 2014 1:08 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Identifying Keys on the Keyboard Oops. The default keystroke to route JAWS to PC on a laptop layout is Caps lock+left bracket. The problem is that the Norwegian keyboard does not have a left bracket key or a right bracket key. On a Norwegian keyboard one must press ctrl+alt+8 to type a left bracket and ctrl+alt+9 for a right bracket respectively. So, to route jaws to pc I tried caps lock+ctrl+alt+8 but that does not work. I'll have to figure out some clever keystrokes and reassign those not compatible with a Norwegian keyboard layout including routing jaws to pc. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Øyvind Lode Sent: 25. juli 2014 06:49 To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Identifying Keys on the Keyboard Yes, I'm familiar with keyboard help. But when I'm on a laptop I cannot route JAWS cursor to PC. The default keystroke for that is Caps lock+]. The problem is that I don't have a ] on my keyboard. So I guess I'll have to use the keyboard manager to reassign the keystrokes that is impossible to accomplish on a Norwegian keyboard layout. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Moderator Sent: 25. juli 2014 02:08 To: Jaws-Users List Subject: [JAWS-Users] Identifying Keys on the Keyboard Jaws has a very simple and convenient way to help you identify the keys on your keyboard. It is called "Keyboard Help", and can be accessed by pressing the Jaws key+ the number 1 key on the number row of any standard U. S. keyboard to turn it on. This keystroke is known as a toggle, so pressing it again will turn it off. You can always find more help for Jaws keyboard commands by looking in the help topics in the Jaws help menu.
