Mike, Janet and all, I will keep this link Mike for future reference to see if it would work. Not all of us have scanners, and not everyone has Open Book. I have never been ab le to read a scanned document and have specifically asked people when it was possible to send me a word document. But in Janet's case, she needs to do this now, not when she gets a program that will do it for her. It is truly maddening and I encounter this all the time at work, when human resources or someone sends me scanned things. I ask for word documents, but they don't comply. If there any hope for the future for Jaws to be able to handle these kinds of things? Thanks. Judy & Tallie
