Hi If you don't want to see the logon screen at all, it is best to do both of these options. The first one in power settings will eliminate the logon screen when you wake your computer from the screen saver. The second option of control userpasswords2 will eliminate the logon screen when you power on the computer. I have successfully used both of these options in Windows XP, 7, 8 and 8.1. The windows default is to show the logon screen unless there is only one user defined on the computer, and that user does not have a password.
