Enhancements in JAWS 15.0.11024 (August 2014) This new update addresses the following two issues reported by multiple customers shortly after JAWS 15.0.11022 was posted.
a.. Resolved issues with Internet Explorer 8 and Outlook Express not working under Windows XP. b.. Resolved reported issues where the updated Accessibility Driver would not install in Windows 8. It was working as expected in Windows 8.1. Enhancements in JAWS 15.0.11022 (August 2014) The following is a list of improvements made between this release and the JAWS 15.0.10026 posting. a.. Resolved a reported issue using JAWS with the AWARE database management software. b.. Resolved an issue where the first character typed into the Search box of the Windows 8.1 Start screen was being ignored when entered from a braille display. c.. Addressed a reported issue with the Copy and Paste commands not working in the Windows Explorer tree view unless the Pass Key Through command (INSERT+3) was pressed first. d.. JAWS no longer stops speaking when encountering certain words using the Eloquence synthesizer. e.. Addressed issues with punctuation not being spoken correctly when using a Spanish Vocalizer Expressive voice. f.. When navigating edit combo boxes in Office 2013 ribbons, resolved an issue where JAWS was not speaking the selected item. g.. Resolved an issue where Outlook 2010 and 2013 would stop responding when pressing TAB in the First Time Setup dialog box accessed through the Quick Steps ribbon item. h.. The Check for Updates feature is now available in the French Canadian version of JAWS. Once the full version of the current French Canadian release is installed, you will be able to check for updates from the Help menu, or be automatically notified at JAWS startup when a future update is available.
