Control E centers a line. if you highlight the entire page and
press Control E, the entire page should center. If you want to center
an entire document, perhaps the other instructions will work.

In Word 2007, possibly 2010:
1. Click on the page.
2. In the Page Layout tab on the Ribbon, click on the arrow in the lower
right
corner of the Page Setup group.
3. Click the Layout tab.
4. In the Page section, in the Vertical Alignment list box, select Center.
5. Click OK.
That should do it.
