Hi I also would recommend JAWS 16, especially if you're planning to use it with Windows 8 or 8.1. JAWS 16 should be made generally available in 2 to 3 months. So when JAWS 16 is generally available, that will be the only version you can upgrade your license(s) to. A JAWS 16 license will allow you to run JAWS 16 and/or any earlier version. Many earlier versions of JAWS can be downloaded from the Freedom Scientific web site. If you upgrade your license(s) before JAWS 16 is generally available, you will be able to upgrade to JAWS 15. But I would check with your dealer, or Freedom Scientific, as I believe that in the past, if you upgraded to the current version of JAWWS within x numbers of days before a new version is released, you were eligible for that new version. As for future upgrades, you would need to purchase a JAWS Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) to be able to run the next two versions of JAWS after the highest version you can run with your upgraded license(s).
