Hi, one thing I have found when trying to route the jaws cursor to the PC
cursor is that to often the jaws cursor won't route to the pc cursor.
In order to route it successfully I found toggling the tether jaws to pc cursor
control+jawsKey+numpad minus does the trick.

As others have mentioed already, using the Jaws cursor works too. I find this
issue on other sites and can usuallly get something to activate properly with
the Jaws cursor and then pressign enter or the left mouse button.

Just last night I pressed enter on the "Proceed to Checkout" button on the
regular Amazon site, and got nothingg. So, I went back to the Home page,
clicked on the link for the "optimized for Screen Readers" site button. I then
scrolled down to the Checkout button, pressed enter on it, and was paid for and
out of there in about 3 minutes. A few days ago, I was wanting to make a
return. When it was time for me to select the "Reason for Return", the website
would not allow me to preforn this function. I then called Amazon, told them
what the problem was. They processed my return right there over the phone,
emailed me the link to print out the return shipping label and RMA. She then
processed my return for me right over the phone with no return shipping costs.
A minute or two later, I had the shipping label and RMA printed out and my
verification for the return in hand. Amazon's site has some issues right now,
but there are ways around it.

If you have gotten as far as checkout, I do not think that you are on the
optimized site anymore.

I have experienced situations where JAWS does not seem to act on certain
controls like buttons. In those situations I have had to revert to another
screen reader to finish the transaction.

Are you using the regular Amazon site or the other site which is "Optimized for
Screen Readers". On the regular site, Amazon has been fooling around with the
layout of the site, and it has ben causing a lot of problems. You could
probably check out easier through the Optimized site, but the shopping
experience leaves a lot to be desired.
