When in a message press alt m and arrow down to three thread options.
Check the watch thread option. Note: I do not know if this command is
message specific or global. Also, if Maria and Angela are picking up
list questions, they are Thunderbird whizzes and will know more than I.

Another question I have.
Is there a way to make it so it will show all the conversations for a
given thread at once instead of seperating them out? If so, how do I
make that happen?
thanks,
Dacia

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestions. I have version 31.40. I have another
question. How do I import my contacts so I can use them in
thunderbird? The ones from my gmail I mean?
thanks,
Dacia

I can give you some little help. Check the version of Thunderbird you
have by pressing the JAWS key, control and v. Latest, I think, is 31.4.0
Thunderbird updates frequentlyand probably works better with later
versions of JAWS. Freedom Scientific tells us they do indeed "support"
Thunderbird bbut even with JAWS 15 I still don't find it completely
accessible. I do not believe taht a light version of Thunderbird exists.
I suggest you chck the Help material thoroughly and pick up such hot keys
as you can find. The Mozilla site has some helpful info, too.
Look through "tools" and "account settings" thoroughly to check your
o;ptions.
I'll have to pass on the "groups" question.
Top line menu menus change a bit depending where your when you access
them. The alt key or the f10 key brings up the top line. Under (top line
menu) "View" from the tree view of mailboxes you can sort your mailboxes a
variety of ways, including ascending or descending order.

Hi,
I just installed Thunderbird not sure which version I have. I also
have JAWS 13. I want to know how to navigate the inbox and how to
create groups in thunderbird and so on. Is there a light version of
thunderbird that is more accessible with jaws or a setting I can set
to make JAWS 13 and Thunderbird more accessible with one another.
