Ok, I have JAWS set to intermediate, then set it to beginner, and still didn't hear the extra information I am wanting to hear.

I think you will find that your JAWS verbosity is set to intermediate or advanced; change it to beginner, and you will hear the longer prompts. If you find that JAWS then talks too much in other respects, then the list under the beginner verbosity group should allow you to fine-tune things to your liking.
