Of course I mean a standard 3.5  headphone jack.
You plug one end, to the audio, out source of the device which you wish to record from.
You plug the other end, into the, audio microphone in jack on your computer.
Open total recorder on your computer.
You press play on the device you are recording from first.
You press record, on the total recorder program.
Again, remember, know the length of the recording, because you will not be able to hear playback while recording this way. Again, I have done this successfully, and have used iTunes to convert it to a mp4 file.
