I like this antivirus and find it usable although only with Jaws cursor on the laptop. It runs pretty much automatically and doesn't require much oversight. I like that it has an internet console to control several functions. I especially like that it works with another antivirus installed.. I have Vipre as well. Here is the letter I sent to the group a while back about the program:

I read about the webroot security program on the Kim Komando website and decided to try the free trial just to see if I could manage it with Jaws. I did do research on it first and was especially influenced by the article in PC magazine.

It is a web based program and will work even with another anti virus installed. I have Vipre but am totally paranoid about security since I do much online banking and shopping.

The following link is a page that gives detailed information about the features of the program. In IE you can click on a feature and read the details. This did not work in Firefox.

I was able to install the program by myself although all interaction is through the Jaws cursor. Many settings are automatic and it shows up in the System Tray and tells you whether protection is on. Several choices are available when using the applications key on the System Tray icon. The main screen takes some patience using the Jaws cursor and the left mouse simulation key. I have spent much time yesterday and today to see just how well I was able to use the program with Jaws. Most of the settings are automatic so it is not necessary to change much. What I especially like is that they have an online console where you can find the information and it works well with Jaws and IE 11. It is a bit strange that you can press enter on many items on the webpage that are not marked as links but they work that way and allow the information to appear at the end of the list of choices. This did not work with Firefox which I generally use as my default browser. Also, when doing Google searches in IE Webroot gives an evaluation of each link which jaws reads. This does not work with jaws in Firefox.

If you are interested in learning about the program or buying it at half price then go through the following link on the Kim Komando website.
http://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/promotions/kim?utm_source=komando&utm_medium=komando-banner&utm_campaign=komando

On Kim's site there is an option to download a free trial which I did and after the two weeks I decided to buy the program. But you can't just click on the Buy It button in the trial or they charge you the full price. You have to go back to the Kim Komando page and click buy it. This, too, works better in IE since the purchase page includes a $10 for a CD of the program which is totally unnecessary. I was able to uncheck the box using IE but not using Firefox.

There is also a comparison chart for the three levels of protection. I decided to go for the second level, the Internet Security for 3 computers or gadgets because of the extra identity protection feature.

The antivirus is $19, the Internet Security is $29 and the Complete is $39 and includes 25 G of online back up.

I don't want to mislead anyone that it is totally accessible with Jaws but it mostly is and I am pleased so far as most settings are automatic and I don't need the really advanced stuff.
