Yeah, it looks a little silly, but it works almost every time. Once or twice over the years, I've had to dump JAWS and start anew, but very seldom. Now I think about it, I haven't seen that problem for a while.

Occasionally a key gets "stuck" electronically (not mechanically) and it adds to other key combinations and results in either nothing happening or unexpected results. The age-old solution is to rapidly tap each pair of keys several times each -- the pair of control keys, the pair of alt keys, the pair of shift keys, and the pair of windows keys. Usually this resolves the problem It's never been fixed, so it will happen in JAWS 16 and any version of Windows.
