There are many resources for this type of work offered through the Cleveland Sight Center. They have a call center training program, and relationships with employers like Infocision and Marriott. You might have to actually spend some time there, at least for a while. You might want to join the jobs for the Blind Email list at www.nfbnet.org as they have had an ongoing discussion about this very subject.

I want to use JAWS and the computer and phone to help customers mainly taking inbound calls. What employers do you know about who would hire a JAWS user and would have software that would work with JAWS either out of the box, or after some scripting. Here are some employers I am thinking about. Please feel free to e-mail me off list and tell me what you think about these employers and please tell me about other places I could apply at where I could do customer service work whose software would work well with JAWS. Here are a few types of employers I have thought about: Call Centers, Hotels, banks, Triple A car service, places that cell tickets for events, and stores that take orders over the phone. I cannot wait to hear from you to get some good employment advised based on what I have told you. Thank you so very much.
