Hi Fred, Uninstalling IE will not make the difference, as you stated your problem is with Windows Explorer. The problem with Windows Explorer and Jaws was present before Internet Explorer 11. See Mike B's earlier message for the possible fix.
HTH, Rick Justice Tomorrow's another day, another way! and if tomorrow never comes, problem solved! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Fred Adams" <hamsh...@tampabay.rr.com> To: <jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 12, 2015 7:55 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Explorer Locks I believe I am having the same problem. Jaws will suddenly state that windows explorer has stopped working. SometimesI can get it working again but much of the time I have to reboot. I am thinking of unstalling IE 11 and going back to IE 10 and maybe try reinstalling Ie 11 later. Can someone tell me if I uninstall Ie 11 will I automatically go back to IE 10? I think so but I want to be sure. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Lynn White Sent: Monday, May 11, 2015 7:03 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Windows Explorer Locks Lately, when I have been using Jaws 16, when I got into something like Drop Box, open a folder and arrow down, everything locks up. It has become so bad that I have to use another screen reader. I would rather use Jaws. But, it is just too frustrating to use Jaws. I have read all kinds of reasons for why windows Explorer can lock up. But there doesn't really seem to be a reasonable fix for this issue. I hope that someone might be able to help solve this problem.
