thought so, but I did not configure the message view my brother did. I was just trying not to call on him so much when I need computer help.

I don't believe that it can be done. Once installed, you will have to select
the view that you want. Again, this would mostly be done through the View
tab of the ribbons. This is why I suggested making some notes on what you
currently have selected.

Hi Kevin,

I am not sure if this will transfer your settings or not, but it will move
all of your accounts and messages, as well as any calendars and the like
that you might have. To do this you need to have the app data folder showing
in your Users folder, the one named Kevin or whatever. open the Kevin
folder, then App Data, now select and open Local, and do the same fowith the
Microsoft folder. Now, scroll down and find the folder labeled Windows Live
Mail, and either copy the entire folder, or open it and copy all of the
contents from it, and paste this onto a flash drive or an external hard
drive or something. When you get WLM set up on your new computer, just cop y
any single files into the same folder on the new computer, and for any file
folders that you copied, just copy the contents of these folders into the
corresponding folders on the new computer, The folder names may vary
slightly from one computer to the other, but they will be similar enough
that you will be able to relate one to the other.

AS for how your messages are displayed, you can always go into the View tab
on the ribbon, and see how everything is set and make notes on this to be
able to set the new computer up the same way.
