This is a valid question and I think Londa has the right idea. If you are tech savvy, and especially if you have a computer that is not your primary machine, then you might go ahead with the upgrade to 10 and start to use it. JAWS, MAGic, Openbook, and Wynn have all been tested and verified with Windows 10. But there are lots of unknown issues which can always occur, once thousands of computer users start upgrading. Microsoft is concerned since the upgrade is going to be received by so many all at once I think. Waiting a few weeks, to let the dust settle, could be a good option. What I heard was that it's ok to wait, and those who are a bit less tech savvy might choose to wait. I'm personally going to try it on a machine that I don't need for anything truly important first. I'm lucky enough to have one of those right now. Once I'm comfortable with that, then I'll upgrade my other machines. Waiting certainly won't hurt anything, but if you want to upgrade, go ahead and do it. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Neil Towery Sent: Tuesday, July 28, 2015 4:26 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] FS windows 10 upgrade info FS is sending mixed messages. They released a message on July 28, with instructions, saying JAWS was ready. Yet, the podcast is saying wait? The podcast was earlier in the month. Which is it? Ready or not? -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Pablo Morales Sent: Tuesday, July 28, 2015 4:04 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] FS windows 10 upgrade info Yes, jaws is ready, the new internet browser "edge" will not be very accessible with jaws. FS recommend keep using internet explorer, and IE will be available after the installation of windows 10. But as the podcast of fs says, install windows 10 in your own risk. tx -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Ron Kolesar Sent: Tuesday, July 28, 2015 12:28 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] FS windows 10 upgrade info So, JAWS is ready for win 10? So please advise if we need to stay with ie and a separate mail package or will those two default programs now work withwin 10 is installed? Thanks.
