Hi Deb,

If you have Install Updates Automatically checked the Windows 10 update will
download / install automatically, & you will be in for a rude surprise. If
you have either, Download updates but let me choose whether to install them
or,
Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them,
selected in your Windows Updates settings, you can then choose when you want
to download / install the Win10 upgrade. If I am wrong, would someone
please correct me?

Take care.
Mike

So if I have reserved a copy of Windows 10, and have automatic updates
enabled, will Windows 10 automatically download, or do I have to
specifically download it from the website that appears when I click on the
icon in my system tray. Would hate to come in
Wednesday morning and have my computer all messed up.

you do but not to reserve a copy
that's two separate things. I think you had until July 29 2015 to reserve
it and once you do then when the icon is in your updates you have a year to
download it.

I thought you had a year to get the free copy of Windows 10.

Best to you from,
