Dave, I think that, Sticky Keys, & this Insert key option are different options. I would imagine as long as you kept that checkbox checked is how long the Insert Key Mode would stay in place. I couldn't find the sticky key option in the Settings Center, & from a note I found it's in the accessibility settings in the control panel, wherever the heck that is, in Windows 7. Take care.
