I just tried this myself, no error message, but no response either. The
system just asked me if I wanted to allow changes to my computer. Upon using
the Alt Y key combination, I got nothing else at all.. I do not remember if
this is normal or not.

Hi Maria,
Its not just your laptop.
I just tried for the heck of it, even though I know there are no new
updates.
I got an error, saying that FS server could not be contacted.
Hopefully, FS will fix this in Jaws 17, be patient...
No need to worry about it right now anyways...

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS updates
I have mentioned that on my w 10 laptop I am unable to check for JAWS
updates. FS says it's a Windows issue. Microsoft says it's an FS
issue. I have done all I know how to do.
If it is a firewall, proxy,
or anything of that type, I don't know how to find/solve the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
