First, put your start marker at the beginning of the file,
by pressing ctrl+home, then press the left bracket ([)  key.

Next press alt+e to bring up the edit menu, then arrow down to insert
silence.

Press enter, and you are good to go.

have an audio file that starts too quickly in other words i would like the
