I would like to know how to do ring tones. If you could send those
instructions to me also it would be greatly appreciated.

I know how to create ringtones using itunes but there are multiple ways to
skin a cat so to speak so yes, I would be interested in seeing your method.
I ended up installing winamp and it works now since nobody answered my
original question lol.

Thank you!

I have some very good and detailed instructions for creating ring tones
which I can send you off-list, if you would like. Just let me know.

As for your question, and I am going from memory here so beware ...

If you put focus on the track you want to turn into a tone then press the
context key, there's an option for get info or something like that. There
are several tabs under that selection and the one you want is called
something like options. In there you find some checkboxes for start time and
end time along with the default values. You'll have to tab around play to
get what you want but it's there.

Sorry I can't be more exact, but I'm not on the computer where I have iTunes
installed.
