If you have an earlier version of JAWS, say JAWS16, use it instead. I've observed some problems (especially on Google pages) where JAWS17 gets stuck in the toolbars and stuff, and thus you have to tab through the rigmarole to get back to the main page.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] How to Make Internet Explorer v11 More Responsive withJAWS?

Hello,

I'm noticing an annoying problem when using the JAWS cursor to
navigate web pages in Internet Explorer v11.

JAWS is not as responsive like with earlier versions of Internet Explorer.

So if I land on a website that I wish to navigate using the
JAWSCursor (Not the VirtualCursor) one line at a time, then I press
the [DownArrow] key, the JAWSCursor does seem to move to the next
line, but it takes about 2 - 3 seconds for it to start reading it.

In contrast with VirtualCursor mode JAWS reads the line immediately.

JAWS didn't react so sluggishly to Internet Explorer v8 and earlier.
Is there some sort of option I need to disable under Internet
Explorer v11 to make JAWS more responsive to it? Is Internet Explorer
doing some sort of DirectX writing of info to the screen or something
which is causing this delay?

I'm using the latest build of JAWS v17 with a TripleTalk USB synth
under Windows 7 (64 Bit) Home Edition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
