Wow that was pretty awesome. My daughters school is 0.4 miles from my house
and it would take me 7 minutes to get there by walking; however, it told me
turn west to head down to sixth avenue, which way is west?

Hi Gerald,

There is a combobox that has walking as 1 of its options. After clicking on
the link, press the letter, C, to get to the combobox.
Take care.

Well, this site works well if you happen to drive. But until self-driving
vehicles become a reality for us blind consumers, I still have to rely on
public transit or walking to get where I need to go, and unfortunately, this
site does not provide directions for traveling by these modes.

In the good old days, I was able to use Google Maps to get step-by-step
directions for traveling between two destinations by public transit or by
walking by simply entering the starting and ending addresses of the
destinations on the get directions page. But Google directions no longer
seems to be accessible with either IE 11 or Firefox using JAWS 16. Is there
another site that provides travel directions between two destinations by
public transit and walking that is accessible? Thanks.

Gerald
