Hi Alana, I do not know all of the technical reasons why but I believe you will have a lot of difficulty using JAWS 14 with Office 2016. I have Windows 7 and had difficulty using JAWS 15 with Office 2013 until FS made some serious updates. Now with JAWS 17 I have some issues with 2016 but they are getting better as FS updates. Unless someone on this list knows the exact answer to your question I would call FS before you move up to Office 2016 with JAWS 14. George
