Office 365 works pretty well with Jaws. And both Microsoft and Freedom
Scientific are always working to improve accessibility with the Office Suite
since it is constantly evolving much like Windows 10. I am currently using
Office 365 Home which includes Outlook 2016 as well as Word and Excel and a
few other applications. However, these are the three I use daily and
successfully along with Jaws 17.

Isn't office 365 subscription like 99 a year?

I would go for that if I didn't have what I have currently, although office
365 keeping it on topic so david will not hit me with a wet noodle, I heard
is accessible to a degree but don't quote me on that.

I live in Ontario, as for email clients I'm still trying to figure out wich
one I'm going to go with. I have used wlm in the past, maybe 7 years ago,
not sure it's been so long. I'm going to have a look on the weekend at the
stores to see how much the Microsoft bundles go for. I have literally
thousands of save documents in the word format so I'm thinking I may go for
the office bundle for that reason. I'm still debating it. Regardless of
the debate going on about the reading/preview pain I guess I'm one of those
who uses it and I love it. I've never had a problem with viruses or jaws
and I want to continue using it so outlook looks like the way I'm going to
go. I know it sounds like I've made up my mind, but it really will depend
on the prices at the store. From what I gathered my husband has no problem
spending the money if it's going to make my life easier. Another reason why
i'm considering the Microsoft package is because I guess I will half to
spend more money but I use word in another language and I have the Greek
spell check etc. I do a lot of writing in Greek and having a spell check is
essential. Sorry for rambling but it's nice to see people care. Thanks for
everything, take care for now Regards Zoe

Hi Zoe,
Wow, that quite a deal you have their in Canada. What province do you live
in. I am going to move there. As far as your previous questions go have you
tried using WLM again and see if it will work for you. A lot of people use
it and as far as I have heard most people think it is the easiest email
program to use. Just a suggestion instead of spending big bucks to just buy
Outlook.

Ed

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. The truth of the matter
is that I was a little nervous about telling my story because I didn't know
how people would see it.
You know I live in Canada, and in the province I live in blind people are
entitled to free software, computers, cctv's, brail equipment, etc. for free
every 5 years, so if I really can't afford something I have the option to
wait until my 5 years is up and get everything for free. So this so called
expert who claims to want to help blind people so much should get his facts
straight before he so easily accuses people. Anyhow I am just glad that
everyone now knows who I am and where I stand so there are no more
misunderstandings when it comes to my name.
Again thanks so much for understanding and confirming my intentions as you
read my emails.
Regards
Zoe

 Zoe,

For the record, I read your original post on this subject the way you
describe it here. You hadn't installed illegal software. If it was illegal,
it wasn't you who had installed it. You aren't even sure it is illegal.
However, you wanted to make it legal, and your question went beyond that.
The software's possible illegality was a necessary foundation for why you
were asking your real question. If anything, it was a great illustration for
why we should always use legally obtained software.

Sorry everyone, but I feel like I have to defend myself. I made an innocent
comment on this list that obviously was misinterpreted by someone. I want
the owners of this list to know I am not an advocator of illegal software.
I asked for help using outlook on a windows 10 laptop and someone suggested
I use my old outlook cd from my windows 7 laptop to install it now on my
windows 10 laptop. I stated that someone installed it for me a long time
ago and I don't have a cd and don't know if it's a legal copy. We all have
been there, being new to technology and letting one or more people help us
with something we have no idea about.
I remember being so new at computers that when I got my first one, it just
sat there for months on a desk, because I had no idea even how to turn it
on. I remember hearing the terminology desktop, task bar, etc. and me
scratching my head and saying to myself huh? If my outlook copy is legal or
not, I have no idea. I certainly can't be held responsible for what people
did to help me over 7 years ago. I sent emails to this group asking for
help on how to navigate the office.com website so that I may purchase
Microsoft word and or outlook. Apparently I was kicked off another list
without warning because supposedly I use illegal software. For the record
this is not true. My family just spent this Christmas 850 dollars to buy me
a new laptop, I continued to spend 300 dollars to upgrade my jaws licence, I
spent 100 dollars to by the code factory vocalizer expressive voices for
NVDA, and if I need to I will spend money to buy outlook and word.
I hope this clears up to anyone on this list who I am, and my intentions.
People shouldn't be so quick to judge and accuse. If people use illegal
software that's their choice, I am choosing not to go that route, and for
someone to refuse me help and label me that way is unfair and unjust. This
topic maybe irrelevant to the list and I'm sorry for that but I wanted to
clear my name so that I don't get kicked off anymore lists unfairly.
Please all accept my apologies and thank you for listening.
Regards
Zoe
